Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten and New Student Registration for 2025-2026 School Year runs from January 06, until February 18, 2025.

  • Please read the following instructions below carefully to assist you and your family. It is important to ensure you have all required documents to expedite the process.
  • All children who will be five years old by December 31, 2025 (children born in 2020) are eligible for the kindergarten program beginning September 2, 2025.
  • All students must register at their catchment school, to apply for a different Langley School you will need to complete a cross-boundary request form once you have registered at your catchment school.

Families born outside of Canada

Parent/Guardians who are not yet Canadian citizens such as,

  • Permanent Residents
  • Refugees
  • Temporary Residents (Work & Study Permit Holders)

Existing families in the Langley School District who have Permanent Resident status (have at least one child already registered in K-12 in Langley) can register online and do not need to visit the Newcomer’s Welcome Centre to register.

  • If you require additional translation assistance and support, please visit the Welcome Centre at the school board office.

If any of the items listed below pertains to your child, please make sure you indicate it on your registration. This information is very important for us to know as it helps us with class placements and making sure student supports are in place.

  • Any medical documents or diagnostic reports for learning or physical needs. Such as,
      • IEP Support – ie. autism, ADHD, behaviour
      • Challenging medical conditions,
      • Anxiety
      • English language learner
      • Life threatening medical condition
      • Or any other information you may think we should need.
  • Court Orders or custody information
  • Self-identification of Aboriginal Ancestry form
    • Please fill out only if student has Aboriginal ancestry – one form per child**
      Aboriginal Ancestry is determined on a voluntary basis through self-identification. This includes First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Metis or Inuit Ancestry. No documentation other than this self-identification is required and the ancestry can go back several generations.

    If you indicated that your child has a life threatening or challenging medical condition that may require additional supports or training for our staff.

    In order to begin this process, we need you to connect with your doctor to see if a referral for Nursing Support Services is required. Nursing Support Services are community-based registered nurses throughout BC who assist children and youth with medical complexities to live in their homes and in their communities.  While they have many roles, Nursing Support Services also teach and support school staff to assist children and youth with their diabetes care, seizure care and tube feeds.
